Mateo – Autobrennt mix of the week ….

Mateo is the next man to serve up a mix of interest, and the last one we will laud as our mix of the week.  It’s a light-footed journey through lazy disco house sprinkled with plenty of cosmic dust.  There are shooting skyward synths, jazzed up instrumental sections and plenty of sleazy vocals, all under pinned by a gentle wash of 4/4 beats from the likes of Wolf & Lamb, Double Hill and H Foundation… enjoy!

Autobrennt mix of the week – Ataxia

Not only is Ataxia a Greek word meaning lack of order, but so too is it a DJ duo from the electronic heartland that is Detroit. Ataxia members Ted Krisko and Eric Hanna shared roots in the Michigan punk scene, having both played in bands together and shared experiences touring around the Mid-West.  T was in 2009 though, that the pair’s love of techno music came to the fore.   Since then they have moved away from the band lifestyle to become respected DJs playing all over the states alongside the likes of Konrad Black, Derrick May and other such legends.

We like to shine a light on lesser spotted talents here at Autobrennt. As such we’d like to point you to this new mix from Nick Bassett. Nick is a stalwart of the Chicago scene and in fact plays for us this Saturday at The Crimson Lounge alongside Slow Hands, No Regular Play and Phil Stone.

This delightful hour long mix touches on many different 4/4 bases from the electronic and pop influenced, Hot Creations styled stuff to the deeper, more seductive sounds of classic house.  The programming is cute, with the mix really taking you somewhere as it builds and builds with plenty of subtle style.  Hopeful it will get you in the mood for a cosy boogie with us this weekend…
